Nepal have been placed alongside Australia and Kuwait in their second-round qualification draw of the World Cup 2022, in Malaysia, on Wednesday.

According to the Asian Football Federation, Nepal are drawn in Group B with Australia, Kuwait, Chinese Taipei and Jordan.

Asia’s 40 countries have been divided into eight groups. Group winners and four best runner-up teams will qualify for the final round of qualification. Likewise, these twelve teams will secure their berth in the Asian Cup 2023.

The matches will be held in round-robin format — home and away — the first round of matches will kick-off on September 05.
